I really like this place, the location, food and beer is really good, i love all their menu and I hope they continue like that but I would love to see and improve on the restaurant, maybe the cleanliness of the place and restrooms, also the service, maybe they can have more staff during nights and weekends. I hope I can enjoy still going every time more.
Mare Island is a popular, beautiful spot for a casual meet up with delicious food and a great beers! Overlooking the water, the view from the dining room is great and they have outdoor seating on a warm day. The staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely stop by and you will be in for a good time!
It is in fact rare that you will find me in a brewery but when I do, I go for the food. Luckily the service here isn't as bad as well. There really is just something about stepping into a taproom - it's in the atmosphere. You have the bartender and staff, you have a camaraderie among locals, sport fanatics and of course those that are looking for something new to try. I will say that their holiday or seasonal special on the dessert menu is a must. I checked Instagram literally before stepping in and saw the butterscotch bread pudding with ice cream. Of course I ordered this to share with my friend and we could not even finish it! I know, what a shame. It was so good but I was stuffed after ordering my fries and grilled cheese with a side of water. But that butterscotch pudding...I am going to have to come back again before they switch it out of their menu and take half of it home because I cannot have enough. Out of the three locations this is the one you need to check off your list. I hope they open the outdoor terrace/2nd level soon again.
"Local craft brewery's taproom in the Ferry Building, offering their draft beers, bar fare & views." One of the best place to go if you're hungry, thirsty, or bored while waiting for the Ferry. Actually not in the mood to eat but I ordered a bucket of fries for only $6 and it is good! I would like to come back to try the burger, sandwiches, chicken wings, and so many more. Ofcourse they have alcoholic beverages as well. Beautiful spot!
Local brewery with nice selection. Walk up ordering with about 10 inside and more outside tables. When its beautiful weather, sitting outside with a beer can't be beat. The food is pretty good. Last visit included a MIBC Burger, special (nectarine) salad and pretzel. I wanted to order steak fries and beet salad but they were out of both. Food was good but nectarines lacked flavor (not surprisingly in October) so maybe that's why it was the special. Took longer than expected to get our food (like maybe 30 min) so don't arrive famished. Overall, I'm a fan if it's a lovely day and I'm prepared to chill on the patio.
Our group made an outing to Vallejo on SF Ferry Rider Appreciation Day since we have never been to the Vallejo waterfront area. The plan was to walk the shoreline Bay Trail and return to have lunch at Mare Island Brewery. It's been on our to- try list after seeing them featured on CheckPlease. The restaurant is part of the ferry terminal building and is right next to the ferry terminal. It's a large place with a bar area with regular, high top and communal tables. You order at the register at the bar and pick up your food order at the Pick Up window next to the bar when your pager buzzes. I had the Buffalo Ranch Fried Chicken Sandwich - the crispy battered fried chicken thigh with melted Swiss, lettuce, tomato and buffalo sauce on a brioche bun. The order comes from good portion of crispy fries. My friends had the House smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich and House-made Pastrami Reuben. They enjoyed their sandwiches and fries and felt the portions were good-sized. We shared the Everything Bagel Deviled Eggs with Smoked Salmon. With six half eggs to the order, the everything bagel spice and smoked salmon kicked it up from a regular deviled egg. Delish! So glad we finally got to try the food here and it was delish. So convenient for ferry riders. Will be back again and will try the beers next time.
Soooo happy they serve fries at this location. Their Benicia location doesn't for some odd reason. Great place to hang out with nice view of the water. Indoor & outdoor seating, lots of people have their dogs with them while they enjoy their meal outside. Food is great. You order at the bar, can be a bit of a wait but I think worth it. Service is great, everyone there was super friendly.
Delicious beers and food. The beets salad is slightly sweet, citrus, crunchy, and refreshing. I highly recommend if you want a light salad. It paired very well with the chicken wings. One star was docked off because the chicken wings had little meat and was saltier than we would have liked. Otherwise, it had good flavor. Overall, there was nice outdoor seating and an easy to read menu. Super tasty and recommend coming here!
Ordered the MICB, bacon blue burger, and buffalo wings with wine and beer. Huge portions . Really good burgers and fries. The blue cheese wasn't overwhelming on the blue burger and the buffalo wings didn't taste like your average buffalo wings but really good nonetheless. Everyone was very friendly. A lot of people around having a good time it was a good vibe
Photo 1. Farmhouse ale $9 . tasty Photo 2 Wife wants to share. My answer is NO. Photo 3 Chicken sandwich, ceviche and fries plated beautifully. Photo 4 "I think this is good ??" Photo 5 "This Is Very Good!" $40 for the food and a soda. Not cheap but the first time I have had food that I saw on TV that looked and tasted so good in person. Photo 6 A nice area to go for a walk with a friend.
